The per­fo­ra­tion of eggs has a long tra­di­tion in folk art and is enjoy­ing grow­ing pop­u­lar­i­ty. Goose eggs, rhea eggs and ostrich eggs are par­tic­u­lar­ly suit­able for engrav­ing, as they are larg­er and more sta­ble than chick­en eggs. The blown eggs can be engraved with dif­fer­ent motifs and sophis­ti­cat­ed hole pat­terns. With a lot of patience and cre­ativ­i­ty, fil­i­gree works of art can be cre­at­ed that are not only beau­ti­ful dec­o­ra­tions for East­er.
